The Carr Fire, which broke out last Monday, has thus far killed six people, including two firefighters, and has forced about 39,000 people to evacuate their homes.
After receiving the mandatory evacuation call, they loaded up all their vehicles, including their giant RV they call a land yacht, and headed to Kelseyville.
The latest evacuations included about 1,000 people in Mendocino County, Undersherriff Matthew Kendall said today.

Shasta County Sheriff Tom Bosenko told the network there's an investigation into whether the Bledsoe home received a warning call or a knock on the home's door.
"We're always feeling rewarded when we're able can help someone but to know that we didn't do this on our own, that every person contributed", Russell said.
"Fires don't stop for sleep so this is a 24-hour battle for the American firefighting forces and extra people with the specialised skills that they need will help a lot."
California Department of Forestry and Fire Protection spokesman Anthony Romero said Sunday the fire in the Redding area grew by roughly 9 square miles (23 square kilometers) to 139 square miles (360 square kilometers).

United States firefighters have worked to put out 89 large fires, which have burned more than 3,760 square kilometres over the peak summer period.
