Sleep mode offers the same to the parents, where the set off times will make the app inaccessible to kids for the respective time period.
If your kid attempts to access the app during blocked hours, they'll receive a simple message telling them to come back at the appropriate time to access Messenger Kids again.
For giving more control to the parents, Facebook has recently launched kids messenger app. Facebook's Messenger app for Kids gives parents the control over who their kids talk to.
