'Blue Moon' to light Arab skies on March 31

On Saturday evening, March 31, the Full Sap Moon rises!
The blue moon will be visible in the early morning sky on March 31, Saturday. This is the second Blue Moon since the beginning of the year - the second time in three months that two full moons have occurred in a calendar month. A full moon usually graces the skies just once a month. So, to make up for this lack, March ended up with an extra full moon.
A blue moon is not as rare as the expression "once in a blue moon" implies.
"The last time February didn't have a full moon was in 1999, and the time before that was 1980", Space.com reported. Easter Sunday falls on April 1. It has also been nicknamed the "Sap Moon" by Native American tribes "as it marks the time when maple sap begins to flow and the annual tapping of maple trees begins", according to the Old Farmer's Almanac. Firstly, this weekend's celestial event is the last chance for sky watchers to witness a Blue Moon for the next couple of years.
Now it IS unusual to have Blue Moons happen twice in one year.

The reason it's called a blue moon is all about the timing - not the color. Remember the Super Blue Blood Moon on January 31st?
