A Boeing 737 operated by low-priced airline FlyDubai crashes as it reportedly tries to land for a second time in bad weather in the southern Russian city of Rostov-on-Don, killing all 55 passengers and seven crew on board.
The governor of the Orenburg region, where the plane was flying to, told Russian media that "more than 60 people" onboard the plane were from the region.
"The president offers his profound condolences to those who lost their relatives in the crash".
Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said in a statement obtained by Interfax that Russian President Vladimir Putin had ordered a government-led task force to investigate the cause of the incident.
The Tass news agency says the plane fragments were found in the Ramenskoye area about 25 miles from the airport.

Most of the dead and injured were on the upper deck of the bus, Chan Hing-yu of the fire department told reporters. Some passengers managed to climb out of the vehicle but others had to be cut free by firefighters.

"Eyewitnesses have said they saw the plane crash into the ground and was reportedly on fire", The Daily Star reported.
According to the witness there was a flash "like a big ball, like a mushroom".
A Russian Saratov Airlines passenger plane has crashed after taking off from a Moscow airport, leaving no survivors among the 71 people on board. State television footage showed the pieces strewn across a snowy field.
