"The Xperia L2 is the real entry level phone for the new Sony Xperia range with a 5.5" 720p display, though not quite running edge-to-edge as the XA2 series does. The Ultra also features two front-facing cameras on the device and has 4GB of RAM.
A rep for Sony made it sound like this will be a turning point for the Xperia line and that fingerprint sensors will stop being disabled in the U.S. from here on out.
Sony has not yet revealed pricing details for the smartphones.
We do know that in the United Kingdom, it will be available from O2 and Three, and we'll update this hands on review as soon as we know more about the cost. With its dual selfie camera setup - comprised of a 16-megapixel, 1/2.6-inch Exmor RS for mobile sensor with optical image stabilisation (OIS) equipped 88-degree, f/2.0 wide-angle lens and an 8-megapixel, Exmor R for mobile sensor with 120-degree, f/2.4 super wide-angle lens - the XA2 Ultra is definitely a smartphone "engineered for selfies".

The Xperia XA2 is a bit more compact, however, with a 5.2-inch FHD display. The other two new smartphones, the Xperia XA2 and Xperia L2, feature similar styling and specs along with more compact form factors. The device sports a 13MP rear camera with LED flash and an 8MP front shooter for selfies. The big upgrade this year is that they're moving from Mediatek Helio processors over to Qualcomm's Snapdragon line - both include the Snapdragon 630. Meanwhile the Xperia XA2 Ultra comes in silver, black, blue and gold. For quick unlocking, the device comes with a one-touch fingerprint sensor that's integrated onto the metallic back panel.
This device features a 13-megapixel rear camera and 8-megapixel wide-angle front-facing camera. They will start shipping from February 2018, while Xperia L2 is still on Android 7.1.1 Nougat and will ship from late January 2018. Quick charging is also supported to give you hours of power with just minutes of charging (requires Quick Charger UCH12W). In particular, this new model boasts a smaller sized 5.2-inch Full HD display, Qualcomm Snapdragon 630 SoC, 3GB of RAM, 32GB of internal storage, and a higher capacity 3300 mAh battery.
But it's got a decent 3,300mAh battery that benefits from Sony's Xperia smart charging technologies.
Lastly, the Xperia L2 is the baby of the bunch. It is available in three colors, namely gold, black, and pink.
The Sony Xperia XA2 Ultra boasts a familiar Sony design, which isn't the most exciting out there, but it is at least functional.
