James Damore, the Google engineer who was sacked after arguing that the gender gap in tech may be partially explained by sex differences among men and women, just filed a class-action lawsuit against Google in the Santa Clara, Calif., Superior Court.
"Damore, Gudeman, and other class members were ostracized, belittled, and punished for their heterodox political views, and for the added sin of their birth circumstances of being Caucasians and/or males", the 161-page suit says.
The contents of the lawsuit are bound to drum up controversy, with no-holds-barred wording that accuses Google of a hiring policy that favours women and "minority" candidates and "shames" business unit managers who fail to meet diversity and gender "quotas".
Now he is suing the company, alleging that Google systematically discriminates against white, male conservatives.
"Google's open hostility for conservative thought is paired with invidious discrimination on the basis of race and gender, barred by law". "In one example of this, an employee gave a Peer Bonus to another employee, and stated that the bonus was for 'speaking up for googley values and promoting [diversity and inclusion] in the wretched hive of scum and villainy that is [Damore's Memo].' The Google Recognition Team reviewed this justification, considered it appropriate, and allowed the bonus to proceed".
More broadly, the lawsuit alleges that Google - perhaps dominated by employees who voted Democratic in 2016 - has not shielded Donald Trump-supporting employees from harassment.
'Google Pay' is Here to Rebrand Company's Payment Solutions
It also mentioned that users will see the rebranding move across payments with friends, online retailers and stores. However, I bet you'll continue seeing payment kiosks with the Android Pay branding on them for years to come.

Parts of this plan include a fire ban and an urge for citizens to stay hydrated and sheltered from the sweltering heat. The Penrith observatory recorded a minimum of above 30 degrees Celsius, with humidity as high as 91 percent.

A bullet point he wrote claiming women on average tend to be more neurotic than men, with "higher anxiety, lower stress tolerance", caused particular unrest.
Damore was sacked in august for writing an anti-diversity manifesto.
"We look forward to defending against Mr. Damore's lawsuit in court", the company said in a statement, according to The Verge.
The suit features an image of an e-mail from Alex Hidalgo who works at Google who explicitly told Damore that he was a misogynist and that he would harass him until one of them was sacked.
The company has never given any indication that it fired Damore for his political views.
All this means busy times ahead for Google's legal department, which is also fighting a resurgent discrimination lawsuit brought by ex-Googlers upset they were being stiffed on pay and promotions due to being women. It's not a totally surprising filing given Damore filed a federal labor complaint a year ago and began working with Dhillon during August 2017 on "fact gathering" - looking for other white dudes who felt wronged by Google - for what would eventually become today's complaint.
The suit, filed last week, also adds a fourth complainant, a preschool teacher with a master's degree.
