ESPN host Katie Nolan forewent company policy about engaging in political talk with a controversial appearance on Viceland's "Desus & Mero" program, in which she called President Trump "a f-ing stupid person".
The policy applies to ESPN employees on social media so Nolan didn't technically violate the guidelines since she was not posting online.
ESPN says in a statement Saturday that it "looked into the totality of Nolan's comments".
O'Neill also ripped ESPN boxing commentator Max Kellerman for declaring that the Houston Astros baseball team made a "grave error" in accepting a White House invitation.

In a statement issued on the company's website, Sears Holdings plans to close another 100 stores after shuttering dozens in 2017. It has closed more than 1,000 stores in the past few years, including Kmarts in Fayetteville and Goldsboro last year.
Nolan joined ESPN in October, moving from Fox Sports.
Her "stupid" comment caused a stir on social media, as observers wondered if she would be suspended over her comment about the president. It tells its employees that they "should refrain from overt partisanship or endorsement of particular candidates" and should "avoid personal attacks and inflammatory rhetoric".
The summit came on the heels of ESPN's Jemele Hill calling President Donald Trump a White Supremacist and calling for people to boycott advertisers of Jerry Jones and the Cowboys after he threatened to not play anyone who dared to disrespect the National Anthem.
TMZ reported that Nolan will not be suspended for making the comment.
