There's speculation that Sony will unveil the new smartphones at the 2018 Consumer Electronics Show at CES next week, but there's also chance they won't see the light of day until February, at Mobile World Congress 2018 in Barcelona.
Following some recently leaked images purporting to be the Xperia XA2 Ultra, Venture Beat (and reliable leaker Evan Blass) has revealed what appear to be official renders of the Xperia XA2, XA2 Ultra and L2. Ahead of the launch, some new renders of all the phones together have surfaced online, showing the devices in all its glory. Additionally, Sony has always been critised for not upgrading the design of their phones, and the company may follow the same with its upcoming flagships as well.
Either way, despite a broad palette of color options, the Sony Xperia XA2, XA2 Ultra and Xperia L2 look anything but eye-catching, with thick "chins" and "foreheads", rather bland backplates, and plastic still seemingly running the build material show. And both will pack Qualcomm's Snapdragon 630, a transition away from the MediaTek processors in last year's mid-range Xperia phones. The XA2 Ultra, meanwhile, reports the same rear camera configuration, plus dual 15MP selfie cams, which are also capable of 4K video capture.
The screen on the XA2 has increased by 0.2-inches over the XA1 to 5.2-inch and receives a jump in resolution to full HD 1920 x 1080. The Xperia XA2 Ultra will sport the same 21-megapixel, 4k capable rear sensor.

North Korea's ballistic missile accidentally hits own city
Another danger pointed out by The Diplomat comes from North Korea's newly demonstrated ability to carry out surprise tests. The rocket reportedly crashed into the city of Tokchon and seriously damaged industrial or agricultural buildings.
Less is known about the entry-level Xperia L2 (pictured above and below), other than the fact that it will maintain its predecessor's 5.2-inch, 720p display size and resolution - and that, unlike the Android Oreo-equipped Xperia XA2 duo, it may still ship with the older Android Nougat.
From the pictures, it has become painfully obvious that Sony is sticking with large bezels on top and bottom of the devices to house front camera, sensors, and the company logo.
The Sony Xperia L2 may be powered by a Snapdragon 630 processor, too, though its screen is expected to be a 5.2-inch one with just 720 x 1280 pixels.
