Unless you've been living under a rock (or are just super tuned out from the gaming world) the last few months, you've heard about how many records PlayerUnknown's Battlegrounds (PUBG) has shattered since its release to Early Access.
Nevertheless, the game has still proven to be wildly popular with fans, even reaching one million players within the first 48 hours of its official launch. PUBG Corp said that addressing in-game lag was one of its top priorities with the 1.0 patch for PC.
There's a good amount of drama surrounding a recent advertisement as allegations come to light suggesting that Microsoft copied an Xbox One Playerunknown's Battlegrounds ad.
The PUBG team explains that it was a "combination of causes" that resulted in this lag and issues with character placement readjustment. This simple yet handy adjustment is live now, and is yet another example of developer Bluehole Studio dilligently working on making both the Xbox One and PC editions of the game as intuitive as possible.

The main issue that the small patch aims to fix is intermittent in-game lag, and crashing and authentication issues. We upgraded our game engine to the latest version and made changes to the game when we added new content.
The PUBG squads patch should be available to install now.
Though the patch should help smooth things out, there is more work to be done. After today's update, we will be running some internal tests and deploying more updates to gradually mitigate the problem.
