The internet was filled with the dulcet tones of ABBA Thursday morning after Universal Pictures released the first trailer for "Mamma Mia!". Reprising their roles from Mamma Mia! are Academy Award victor Meryl Streep as Donna, Julie Walters as Rosie and Christine Baranski as Tanya.
Music icon Cher also makes an appearacne polaying Sophie's grandmother Ruby. "Let me tell you how she did it, all on her own", Donna's friend Rosie can be heard saying to Sophie.
But where, precisely, is Sophie's titular mother Donna, played by Meryl Streep? Only to have her granny clapback: "That's the best kind of party little girl".
As for the plot: "As the film goes back and forth in time to show how relationships forged in the past resonate in the present, James will play the role of Young Donna".
Mamma Mia: Here We Go Again! arrives in theaters on July 20, 2018. Fingers crossed, y'all, fingers crossed.
