The full moon on Sunday night will be a supermoon and will be bigger and brighter than usual.
It won't be quite as bright as the last supermoon on November 14, 2016, when the moon was closer to Earth than at any time in almost 69 years. "Nearby perigee full moons appear about 14 percent bigger and 30 percent brighter than full moons that occur near apogee in the moon's orbit".
In December, the moon will be closest to the Earth on December 4 at 2.15 pm (IST), when it will be 3,57, 492 km away from Earth. That means that this will be a Super Frost Moon! The weather forecast calls for partly cloudy skies on Sunday night, and you can check the National Weather Service's graphical forecast for a more specific prediction.
