Thursday evening showings of Justice League are making their way into theaters, critics have been posting reviews since the embargo lifted and now a Rotten Tomatoes score has officially been released.
The movie is a flagship one for Warner Bros., and early reaction to trailers and anticipatory material has been mixed, with several negative early reviews. Studios market top scores ahead of a film's release, while others blame the aggregation site for torpedoing their movie with negative marks, especially when a project flops domestically.
For most movie fans, film criticism is a nuanced examination of the merits of a film in which performances, direction and narrative are all taken into account to communicate what a movie contributes to the medium. Metacritic has previously revealed their tally with Justice League now having a 49 Metascore out of 41 Critical Reviews, with most press people having a mixed reaction to the film. But what about that pesky Rotten Tomatoes score? After all the reviews were calculated, the film now sits at a 40% on the aggregator website.
The Rotten Tomatoes score and critic reviews are now available to view.

Justice League has been given a 43 percent score from the online review aggregator, 24 hours after reviews hit. However, despite the fact that countless critics have put out their extensive thoughts on the project in the form of writing, some fans are still on the lookout for the overall consensus that review aggregating sites offer.
Of course, regardless of the score, there are plenty of fans who would be down to see the film, no matter what.
Some have criticized Warner Bros. for trying to race to the finish line in its world building effort when it comes to this shared cinematic universe.
Polygon: There are good, cute and amusing moments that the editing team should be applauded for, but there aren't enough to distract from the handsome, chaotic mess that Justice League ends up being. (Both films grossed still north of $745 million worldwide, so WB can wipe their tears reading reviews with wads of cash.) Yet Justice League is way under the Wonder Woman score, as that blockbuster landed a 92 percent rating. Despite the formation of an unprecedented league of heroes - Batman, Wonder Woman, Aquaman, Cyborg and the Flash - it may be too late to save the planet from an assault of catastrophic proportions.
