Wait times on Google Search, and coming soon to Maps, will show those searching for a restaurant the estimated wait at eateries. Users will also be able to tap on any of the bars in the chart to get information on the estimated wait time.
Google says this feature will be rolled out to almost a million sit-down restaurants around the world.

The tech company announced Tuesday that it's introducing average wait times for around 1 million restaurants, based on anonymized historical data, according to a press release. Ahead of Thanksgiving, they'll even be adding the feature to grocery stores, where throngs of people are likely to be stocking on last-minute dinner supplies.
